Craft Time

We also painted light catchers and we made a birdhouse - after one minor repair it is still hanging in our small tree in the backyard!

Touch A Truck

Touch a truck is a ton of fun. This was our 2nd year going. The big excitement again was the school bus!

Peoria Zoo

The girls and I went to the zoo (got to love the family membership!).

First Manicure

The girls went with me to the mall for a manicure before Mother's day. I wasn't sure how they would do, but it was great. I have never seen them sit so still!

Trip to Ohio to see Connor, Madi, & Clay

Grandma Rose and I took the girls to Ohio for a visit while Adam and Angie went to Florida. The drive wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. The kids got along great!
Slumber party... this arrangement only lasted 1 night, the first night. After that the girls and I slept downstairs!

A trip to the park

Of course we had to see the owl during our stop at Grandma and Papaws!

Bloomington Zoo

The park outside the zoo is great.
The girls would gladly spend as much time playing as they would seeing the animals!

Taylor finally was able to ride the carousel. She has been talking about it for the last month.

Hannah rode a brown bunny which she named Chocolate Bunny.

Random

Greg spent a few days in New Orleans for a bachelor party, he brought back feather masks and owl gourds for the girls. He could not have picked anything more perfect!

Loving the scooters!

Going to the pool

The gym we go to has a really nice pool for kids. For an hour and a half each day they have Fun Splash, just for kids. There were only a few other kids there, it was perfect. We will definitely be going back!

Planting flowers

The girls picked out their own flower at the nursery last weekend. They picked the same flower, but in different colors. Hannah's is yellow and Tay picked orange.

They planted them all on their own and are responsible for watering them too!

Outside fun

The girls have big bikes with training wheels. They love to ride them! They don't mind the helmets and even ask for the knee and elbow pads. The can ride by themselves, but haven't mastered turning or stopping yet.

The water table...

A license already? Only in the backyard!

Easter weekend

Lunch with Arnold and Theda, Annette and Bobby Easter weekend!
The girls opened big, beautiful baskets from Grandma and Papaw!

Mommy was excited to see something other than sugar in the basket - they had fruit and raisins! So were the girls! Thank you Grandma and Papaw!

Bloomington Zoo

We stopped on our way to IN to check out the Bloomington Zoo. The membership pass is reciprocal to Peoria's Zoo and is cheaper!
In the tree behind the girls is a very tiny monkey.

The tiger growled and paced the entire time we watched him... it was creepy!

Looking at the otters.
The barn owl.... no need to say more.

We will be making this stop more often! The day we stopped was chilly and the merry-go-round was not running. Taylor has asked almost daily if we can go back to see if it is working!
